Was ist die Mensabeihilfe?

Die Mensabeihilfe ist eine vom Land Steiermark finanzierte Beihilfe. Ein Ansuchen ist für Studierende, die für ein Studium an der Uni Graz Studienbeihilfe beziehen, möglich und erfolgt im Sozialreferat der ÖH Uni Graz. Da die finanziellen Mittel für die Mensabeihilfe vom Land Steiermark zur Verfügung gestellt werden, kann die ÖH über das Volumen nicht entscheiden.

Was sind die Voraussetzungen für den Zuschuss?

1. Österreichische Staatsbürgerschaft oder EU-Staatsbürgerschaft
2. Hauptwohnsitz in der Steiermark, jedoch außerhalb von Graz bzw. Leoben, wenn an diesen Orten dem Studium nachgegangen wird
3. Laufender Bezug von Studienbeihilfe für ein Studium an der Uni Graz

Wie beantrage ich den Zuschuss?

Wie funktioniert die Auszahlung?

Die Mensabeihilfe beträgt pro Semester und pro Studierender*Studierendem € 320,00.

Übersteigt die Anzahl der förderbaren Ansuchen die verfügbaren Mittel, wird eine Reihung vorgenommen. Die Kriterien hierfür sind der Zeitpunkt an dem das vollständige Ansuchen im Sozialreferat eingegangen ist und eventuelle besondere soziale Bedürftigkeit (etwa Krankheit, Unterhaltsverpflichtung, u.a.).

Die Mensabeihilfe ist eine freiwillige Förderung durch das Land Steiermark, es besteht kein Rechtsanspruch. Alle Angaben vorbehaltlich etwaiger Änderungen durch das Land Steiermark.

Nach Ende des Semesters werden die Anträge überprüft und die Antragssteller*innen darüber informiert, ob ihr Ansuchen genehmigt wurde.

What is the Canteen Grant?

The Canteen Grant is a financial support programme funded by the Province of Styria. Students who receive an Austrian study grant for a degree programme at the University of Graz can apply for the Canteen Grant through the Social Affairs Department of ÖH Uni Graz. As the funding for the Canteen Grant is provided by the Province of Styria, ÖH Uni Graz cannot determine the total amount of funding available.

What are the requirements for the grant?

1. Austrian citizenship or citizenship of an EU member state
2. Main residence in Styria, but outside Graz or Leoben if you are studying in one of these cities
3. Current receipt of an Austrian study grant for a degree programme at the University of Graz

How do I apply for the grant?

How does the payment work?

The Canteen Grant amounts to € 320.00 per semester and per student.

If the number of eligible applications exceeds the available funding, applications will be ranked. The relevant criteria are the date on which the complete application was received by the Social Affairs Department and any particular social need, for example due to illness, maintenance obligations, or similar circumstances.

The Canteen Grant is a voluntary form of financial support provided by the Province of Styria. There is no legal entitlement to the grant. All information is subject to possible changes made by the Province of Styria.

After the end of the semester, the applications are reviewed and applicants are informed whether their application has been approved.
